Currently Listening: Super Junior [It's You]
Introducing Korea’s (and probably the world’s) largest boy-band… Super Junior, a group of thirteen.
Their kind of bizarre name aside, don’t you think that having thirteen members seems excessive?? A quote from a certain Lady Bracknell on The Importance of Being Earnest comes to mind–the exact nature being thus:
“To be born, or at any rate, bred in a handbag, whether it have handles or not, seems to me to display a contempt for the ordinary decencies of family life which reminds one of the worst excesses of the French revolution, and I presume you know what that unfortunate movement led to?”
Since SuJu was neither born in a handbag or bred in a railway station, the sentiment doesn’t wholly apply, but I think you understand my point.
In any case, here’s a song from them that I actually like fairly well. Watching this (or really, any, of their music videos) will make you appreciate just how many people thirteen really is.
Behold, Super Junior, a group made up of a few creepy guys, a few good looking ones, one chubby one and a few suspiciously pretty ones.

Wow……that’s what Newsies would look like if it was Korean.
That was just downright impressive.
I especially liked the part when the dude who previously was on his I-phone, had to use a pay-phone.

Becky, I had to laugh at your insight, “Behold, Super Junior, a group made up of a few creepy guys, a few good looking ones, one chubby one and a few suspiciously pretty ones.”
But they do sound good, and I’m enjoying your blog!
